Description:
Join us for a hands-on relief-printing session as part of the Prints for Progress project, dedicated to raising awareness about critical issues impacting Stanislaus County. Through relief-printing techniques, we aim to create visually striking images and messages focusing on public health awareness related to COVID-19, water and energy conservation, climate change, emergency preparedness, civic engagement, and social justice.
Goals & Outcomes:
Create visually appealing and informative printmaking designs to raise awareness about public health, climate change, civic engagement, and social justice issues.
Engage the community in the printmaking process, fostering accessibility to the arts.
Schedule:
1:00 PM - 1:30 PM: Introduction, Overview, and Brainstorming
1:30 PM - 2:00 PM: Creation of imagery for prints (drawing, carving, etc.)
2:00 PM - 2:30 PM: Continued creation
2:30 PM - 3:00 PM: Finalize carving and begin printing
3:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Printing
3:30 PM - 4:00 PM: Clean-up

Young @ Art Student Exhibition
Welcome to the 2024 Young@Art Student Exhibition – a celebration of creativity by youth artists from pre-school through high school! Join us at the Mistlin Gallery from March 5 to March 30, with an Art Walk on March 21, to witness the vibrant expressions of our young talents.
Special Note: This show is tailored for very young children, so submitted works should reflect positive thoughts and deeds. Content must be free of drugs, alcohol, weapons, gang symbols, and overt sexuality or violence. Instructors are encouraged to critique works before submission, and CCAL reserves the right to remove objectionable artwork.

Stanislaus Arts Photo Contest Exhibit
Stanislaus Arts Council is pleased to host a unique contest for photographers worldwide to showcase their perspectives & artistic expression.
