Call for Artists! Bring Play to the Streets with MoChiMu + Stanislaus Arts Council
The Stanislaus Arts Council, in partnership with the Modesto Children’s Museum (MoChiMu), is thrilled to announce a unique opportunity for local artists to take part in a community-wide public art activation this September.
We are seeking 10 artists to design and create interactive chalk art installations inspired by MoChiMu’s exhibits. These artworks will be installed in high-traffic public spaces across Stanislaus County, transforming sidewalks and plazas into playful, imaginative experiences that spark curiosity, movement, and joy for all ages.

Timeline:
Apply by: August 30, 2025
Artist Notification: September 6, 2025
Installation: September 12–15 (weather dependent)
Public Engagement: September 15–26, 2025
