LightBox Theatre Company Launches 2024 Season with Support from Heartland Creative Corps

Turlock, CA - LightBox Theatre Company is thrilled to announce the launch of its 2024 season, made possible by the generous support of Heartland Creative Corps. This season, Lightbox Theatre is bringing two original plays to the stage, absolutely free for both the public and school children.

Thanks to a grant from Heartland Creative Corp, Lightbox Theatre aims to make theater accessible to everyone in our community. The plays will be presented as follows:

  • "Little Red Robin Hood" will run from March 22-24 at the Carnegie Arts Center in downtown Turlock, with after-school shows scheduled for March 19-21.

  • "Triton Tries to Take Today" is scheduled for June 2024, with the location to be announced.

Both plays, commissioned by LightBox Theatre Company, are designed to entertain and inspire while imparting valuable lessons to youth. "Little Red Robin Hood," a whimsical mash-up of classics, is written by Modesto playwright Nick Zagone. "Triton Tries to Take Today," a powerful narrative addressing issues like drought, climate change, and environmental conservation, is penned by Yokanaan Kearns.

This season marks Lightbox Theatre's ninth year of bringing professional theater to young audiences. The company is deeply grateful for the ongoing support and dedication of its patrons and supporters.
