Marisa Segovia's "Print for Progress" Project Near Completion

MODSETO, CA (April 3, 2024) - Marisa Segovia's visionary project, "Print for Progress," supported by the Heartland Creative Corps Grant, is rapidly nearing its completion. This initiative is one of many projects funded in collaboration with United Way of Merced, Stanislaus Arts Council and other partners, and harnesses the power of printmaking to raise awareness about pressing social issues within Stanislaus County.

Under Segovia's leadership, "Print for Progress" has facilitated a series of dynamic sessions, engaging apprentice artists from diverse backgrounds in the creation of impactful artworks. Through various printmaking techniques, these artworks serve as poignant reflections on social justice, amplifying the voices of marginalized communities and advocating for meaningful change.

As the project enters its final phase, anticipation mounts for the unveiling of the collective artworks at the Modesto ArtWalk in Downtown Modesto on May 16, 2024, and June 20, 2024 from 5-8pm. These exhibitions promise to be immersive experiences, inviting community members to engage with the art, participate in discussions, and become catalysts for social progress.
